Enable students to acquire critical awareness of the contemporary and pervasive issues in strategic project management from both the academic and professional perspectives underlining project organising as a prominent element in organisations and a growing field of knowledge and practice.
Develop skills to examine, evaluate and critically reflect upon different research perspectives and techniques used in the areas of strategic project management in order to create and interpret knowledge.
Enable students to critically evaluate academic research, case studies, practical applications and media pronouncements on the development and use of strategic project management in the public and private sectors and in different countries.
Encourage the development of subject interests by enabling students to carry out original research at the forefront of knowledge on a relevant strategic project management topic through a Master level Thesis.
Enhance employability through development of transferable skills, particularly leadership, teamwork, communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and presentation. These skills are considered necessary for middle-to-senior strategic and business related positions in a wide and international range of public, private and voluntary organisations, or in academic research and in preparation for lifelong learning and personal development.
