At Heriot-Watt University there is a doctor’s surgery with a full time Doctor and nursing staff on campus.

Students are entitled to receive free healthcare service and are encouraged to register with the on-campus healthcare surgery. Alternatively, students may register with a surgery in town. Information is provided on registering with a Dental practice.

At Politecnico di Milano, unless students have private medical insurance, they should register with the National Health Service (SSN) to receive assistance; then students are covered by an accident insurance (INAIL insurance) for injuries while staying at Polimi. Information on how to do this is provided by the Studesk. In all institutions information is provided about how to seek help in an emergency.

At Umeå University, a student healthcare and a  service is provided.
